Manila, Jan. 14 -- Former Bulacan engineer Henry Alcantara is not recanting his testimonies linking individuals, including some lawmakers, in the anomalous flood control projects, his lawyer said on Tuesday.

Atty. Emil Karlo Joven said reports that his client has changed his mind about testifying for the government are "categorically false and misleading."

"In short, Engr. Alcantara is not recanting his prior statements," Joven said as his client attended Tuesday's hearing into his application for the government's state witness protection program before the Department of Justice (DOJ).
