Manila, Feb. 18 -- To secure their children's spots in various schools, parents in this city have taken advantage of the Department of Education's (DepEd) early registration program, which saw 223,000 learners register across the region for the three-week event.
Frances Louise Cruz, a parent who registered her child early for Kindergarten at Ibalon Central School, said the registration process was straightforward and ensured her child was admitted to her school of choice.
"There were no problems during the registration. The school provided the requirements easily and efficiently," she said in an interview.
Cruz added that she opted for early registration to minimize the hassle, especially since she has two children.
