Manila, April 18 -- Authorities from the Airport Police Division (APD) of the Manila International Airport Authority assisted a Canadian national who stayed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for days.

The Canadian national, identified as Yusuf Sydow, has been staying at NAIA's OFW lounge since April 12, airport police Senior Inspector Nemencio Bawalan told the Philippine News Agency on Wednesday.

Bawalan said the APD contacted the Canadian Embassy on Tuesday regarding Sydow.

"The embassy requested us to bring Sydow to their office. We escorted him there today (Wednesday)," he said.

Bawalan added that they also brought Sydow to a hostel in Makati in the afternoon, so he could stay there while the embassy is arranging his p...
