Manila, Nov. 17 -- Combined agriculture and infrastructure damage due to Super Typhoon Uwan has reached over PHP4 billion, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Monday.
In its latest situational report, the NDRRMC said damage to agriculture was pegged at PHP1.79 billion and infrastructure at PHP2.27 billion.
Uwan, which battered Luzon and several parts of the Visayas earlier this month, affected 12,993 farmers and fisherfolk, and 9,677.93 hectares of crop area, of which 7,222.45 hectares have partial chance of recovery while 2,454.78 hectares are considered totally damaged.
Production loss, meanwhile, was estimated at 89,201.53 metric tons.
