Manila, March 19 -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Wednesday clarified that it does not issue any guidance or orders restricting the freedom of expression of civilians, including the family members of military personnel, in social media.
In a statement, military public affairs office chief Col. Xerxes Trinidad said the recent visits of AFP chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. to various units nationwide were aimed at reinforcing the importance of professionalism, discipline, and mission focus among service personnel.
He added that these internal engagements are vital to strengthening the AFP's core values and operational effectiveness.
