Manila, Sept. 17 -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Wednesday said it is seeing stronger defense relations with its French counterparts in the coming years.
This was highlighted during the meeting between AFP chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. and Brig. Gen. Patrick Vaglio, Head of Division at the Joint Headquarters International Staff of the French Armed Forces, during the latter's courtesy visit in Camp Aguinaldo on Tuesday.
"[Vaglio's] visit forms part of the ongoing Philippines-France Joint Defense Cooperation Committee initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral military relations and enhancing defense cooperation between the two nations," the AFP said in a news release.
