Manila, Jan. 15 -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Thursday said it is ready to deploy the necessary personnel and military assets needed to conduct humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) missions should Tropical Depression Ada intensify and affect a large part of the country.
"The AFP is always prepared to mobilize personnel and assets for humanitarian assistance and disaster response should Tropical Depression Ada intensify and affect a large part of the country," AFP spokesperson Col. Francel Margareth Padilla said when asked by the Philippine News Agency (PNA) on whether the military is ready for any emergencies that might be triggered by the weather disturbance.
