MANILA, April 5 -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is planning to procure more missile systems, warshops and multi-role fighter jets in line with ongoing efforts to complete the integration of the country's air and missile defenses.

AFP chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. announced this at the recently concluded 10th Raisina Dialogue held in New Delhi, India, according to a media release Saturday.

Brawner's attendance at the Raisina Dialogue marked the first time the AFP participated in the annual geopolotics and geoeconomics conference.

It reflected the Philippines' commitment to deepening international cooperation and addressing shared security concerns, according to the statement.
