Manila, Nov. 6 -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Wednesday paid tribute to the pilots and aircrew of the helicopter that went down while on a humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) mission at the height of Typhoon Tino.
"Our sincerest condolences to the families of our fallen heroes," the AFP said in a statement. "We share in your grief and extend our unwavering support during this most difficult time."
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) earlier said the Super Huey helicopter was being flown by two pilots and four aircrew members when it went down in Agusan del Sur on Tuesday afternoon.
