MANILA, Nov. 12 -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) received 25 boxes of doxycycline hydrochloride (Doxicon 100 mg capsules) for its soldiers heavily engaged in relief and response missions following the series of powerful typhoons that pummeled the country.

These medicines were donated by FPJ Panday Bayanihan party-list in partnership with Jackpharma Inc. on Tuesday, the AFP said in a statement Wednesday.

It added that the donation took place after a courtesy call of FPJ Panday Bayanihan party-list Rep. Brian Poe and Jackpharma Inc. director Jacko Hernandez with AFP chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr.
