Manila, Oct. 6 -- Over 94,000 families have been affected by Severe Tropical Storm Paolo, which lashed parts of Luzon last week, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Monday.
In its report, the NDRRMC said the 94,744 affected families, equivalent to 313,822 persons, were from Regions 1 (Ilocos Region), 2 (Cagayan Valley), 3 (Central Luzon), Cordillera Administrative Region, and Calabarzon.
As of Monday afternoon, 866 families are staying inside 42 evacuation centers while another 1,928 families are seeking temporarily shelter in other places, it said.
The NDRRMC has yet to provide number of reported casualties as well as damage estimates on agriculture and infrastructure.
