Manila, Feb. 19 -- The 911 Satellite Command Center in Batac City, Ilocos Norte is set to fully operate in March to enhance the Bureau of Fire Protection's emergency quick response and coordination.

Fire Supt. Roxanne Parado, provincial fire marshal of the BFP Ilocos Norte, confirmed this in an interview on Thursday after a site visit to the facility, which is nearing completion.

"The project is 97 percent complete. We expect the facility to be fully operational in March," said Parado, citing the project as a national agency flagship program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government under Secretary Jonvic Remulla.
