Manila, June 16 -- Nine schools in the province of Antique were named as pilot institutions for the strengthened senior high school curriculum of the Department of Education (DepEd) for Grade 11 this school year.

"The strengthened senior high school curriculum for Grade 11 is an intervention that merged certain tracks and core subjects for the learners to have focus," DepEd Chief Education Supervisor Dr. Edward Bana said in an interview Monday.

The pilot schools included the Antique National School (ANS), Barbaza National High School (NHS), Diclum NHS, Gamad-Sto. Tomas NHS, Mag-aba NHS, Pangpang NHS, Northern Antique Vocational School, Sebaste High School, and Wright Technological College of Antique, Inc.
