CAMP OLIVAS, Dec. 17 -- A total of 870 new police officers joined the Philippine National Police (PNP) after taking their oath on Wednesday morning at this camp, the headquarters of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 (Central Luzon).
The PRO-3 reported that the batch was selected from more than 3,000 applicants who sought to enter the service.
Only those who passed the PNP's strict recruitment, including screening, medical, psychological exams, and background checks, were selected.
Out of the total, 550 recruits filled attrition quota slots, and 320 joined through the regular quota, significantly boosting police manpower and the police-to-population ratio in Central Luzon.
