Manila, April 4 -- The Manila city government has awarded land titles to a total of 775 residents under its Land for the Landless Program (LLP) since Mayor Honey Lacuna took office in July 2022.
"This is clear proof of our performance. The record number of 775 LLP awardees is the highest since the term of the late former mayor Alfredo Lim when there were 424 title awardees," the mayor said in a news release on Friday.
"Our Land for the Landless Program accomplishment of 775 awardees is 15 times greater than the mere 52 awardees during the term of my immediate predecessor," she added.
Lacuna also acknowledged that there were 198 LLP awardees during the term of Joseph Estrada (2013 to 2019).
