MANILA, Nov. 27 -- The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Thursday reported the recent arrival of seven Filipinos, victims of scam hubs in Myanmar.

In a statement, the bureau said the repatriates -- four women and three men, all in their 20s and 30s, arrived on board a Philippine Airlines flight from Bangkok, Thailand, on Tuesday, and were assisted by the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Task Force on Anti-Trafficking (NAIA-FAT).

Six of the victims left through an illegal migration corridor, more commonly known as "backdoor", while one left pretending to be a tourist bound for Thailand.
