Manila, July 14 -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office IV-A has released a total of PHP22.77 million in seed capital to 67 Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) associations across Batangas province.
Joseph Arceo, Public Information Officer of DSWD IV-A, said Monday the funds will support various livelihood ventures initiated by organized groups under the SLP, a program designed to improve the economic well-being of vulnerable communities.
"These associations have undergone capacity-building activities focused on leadership, financial literacy, and basic enterprise development. The seed capital is a result of their hard work and readiness to operate their own businesses," Arceo said in an interview.
