Manila, Dec. 17 -- Most areas in the country will experience rains on Wednesday due to four prevailing weather systems.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the shear line and the easterlies will cause scattered rains and thunderstorms in Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Quezon, Bicol Region, Caraga, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Southern Leyte.

Scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the intertropical convergence zone will prevail in Zamboanga Peninsula, Davao Region, Soccsksargen, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, Basilan, and Tawi-Tawi.

The northeast monsoon or "amihan" will bring rains across Batanes, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.
