MALASIQUI, Dec. 19 -- The Police Regional Office (PRO) 1 (Ilocos) will soon have an additional 370 personnel after the newly appointed batch completes their training. In a phone interview on Friday,
Maj. Divina Albino, chief of the PRO-1 information office, said the new batch started their six-month Public Safety Basic Recruit Course at the Regional Training Center in Aringay, La Union, following their oathtaking ceremony on Dec. 17 this year.
The training includes tactical and other activities and subjects related to police matters, such as handling firearms.
Albino said this will be followed by another six-month Public Safety Field Training Program, an on-the-job training at the different police stations in the region.
