Manila, Feb. 4 -- The Commission on Appointments (CA) on Tuesday confirmed the ad interim appointments of 36 senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and 19 foreign service officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada, chair of the CA Committee on Foreign Affairs, commended the diplomatic appointees for their expertise in foreign policy and international negotiations.

"These officials have dedicated their careers to upholding the interests of Filipinos abroad, strengthening diplomatic ties, and ensuring our foreign service remains a pillar of national strength," Estrada said, endorsing the confirmation of their appointments in the plenary.
