Manila, May 20 -- Thirty-one athletes from Antique joined the Western Visayas delegation for the 2025 Palarong Pambansa in Ilocos Norte on May 24 to June 2.

Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division of Antique Sports coordinator, Dr. Oliver Servillon, said they arrived in Ilocos Norte on Monday and will start their familiarization with the playing venues on Wednesday.

"We expect good performance of our athletes, especially in swimming, taekwondo, and dance sports," he said in an interview.

He added they expect the athletes to bring gold not only for the home province, but also for the region, considering that they already won gold medals during the regional sports meet hosted by Antique in March.
