Manila, Feb. 17 -- An intensified anti-illegal drugs and anti-criminal operations from Feb. 9 to 15 resulted in the arrest of 282 persons facing various offenses in Quezon City.

In a statement Monday, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) acting director Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. said arrested include 134 wanted persons, 101 illegal gamblers, 41 drug suspects, and six individuals for possession of illegal firearms.

During the period, Buslig said a total of 27 anti-drug operations were conducted that led to the arrest of 41 drug suspects and confiscation of PHP580,244 worth of illegal drugs.
