Manila, Feb. 6 -- Twenty-two cooperatives across three areas in the Davao Region are set to receive PHP70 million worth of brand-new hauling trucks this week, the Department of Agriculture Regional Office (DA-11) announced Thursday.
The initiative is part of the DA's Integrated National Swine Production Initiatives for Recovery and Expansion (INSPIRE) program, aimed at accelerating hog repopulation and revitalizing the swine industry following the impact of African swine fever (ASF).
Marie Ann Constantino, DA-11 technical director for operations, said the bio-secured hauling trucks will enhance efficiency, ensure timely delivery, and improve storage and handling of agricultural products.
