Manila, April 18 -- At least 20,000 pilgrims are expected to visit the Holy Mountain in Isabela, Negros Occidental this Holy Week.

Previously known as the Glory Hill, the site is home to a 45-foot cross preceded by the 14 Stations of the Cross located in Sitio Mantuhod of Barangay Mansablay.

Mayor Joselito Malabor said on Wednesday the influx of visitors is expected between Holy Thursday and Holy Saturday.

"Many of those who come, stay overnight in the mountain. Most of the pilgrims are church groups from nearby towns and cities," he added.

The mayor said the safety and security of the visitors is ensured under the watch of policemen and members of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams.
