Manila, March 27 -- A total of 2,742 Antiquenos have availed of the Department of Labor and Employment's Government Internship Program (DOLE-GIP) that intends to provide them opportunity to be trained on government service.

In an interview on Thursday, Ma. Cecilia Acebuque, DOLE Antique provincial director, said the province has been implementing GIP since January but the bulk of the 2,742 started their internship or employment on the first week of March.

The GIP program allocates funds to local government units (LGUs) or national line agencies to hire graduates or interns.
