India, Jan. 30 -- Several areas in the country will be drenched with rain showers due to two prevailing weather systems on Friday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the shear line affecting the eastern section of Mindanao will cause scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms across Caraga, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, and Davao Oriental.
Moderate to heavy rains in those areas could result in flash floods or landslides.
The northeast monsoon or "amihan" will bring light rains to Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora.
