MANILA, Dec. 1 -- Two officials of construction firm Sunwest Inc. wanted in connection with the flood control controversy have expressed intention to surrender, police said Monday.

"May backchannel sa amin... May mga kamag-anak na lumapit (There were some family members who approached us via backchannel)," Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) chief Maj. Gen. Robert Alexander Morico said in a press briefing in Camp Crame.

Morico declined to identify who among the Sunwest officials have sent surrender feelers.
