Manila, June 6 -- Two ranking police officials have been included in the latest reorganization of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

In an order dated June 2 and made public Friday, PNP chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III designated Brig. Gen. Wilson Lopez as head of the Directorate for Intelligence (DI).

Lopez rose to the DI's top post after serving as its deputy director.

Lopez replaces Maj. Gen. Westrimundo Obinque, who was designated as director of the National Police Training Institute.

The reshuffle took effect on June 4, the first under Torre's leadership.
