Manila, Oct. 7 -- The city government of Marikina and the Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Tuesday opened two public utility vehicle (PUV) stops in the city.

In a statement, Marikina Mayor Maan Teodoro said the PUV stops were designed to provide a safe, convenient and accessible travel experience for residents.

"We have closely coordinated with the DOTr to make this project possible," she said.

Teodoro said the DOTr project set up a total of six PUV stops in Metro Manila, with two located in Marikina City.
