Manila, May 27 -- Two China Coast Guard (CCG) vessels are now tailing the "Atin Ito" civilian mission bound for Pag-asa Island, a ranking Philippine Navy (PN) official said on Tuesday.

"On the 'Atin Ito', they started sailing early this morning. The last report from the group was that they were being tailed by two CCG vessels," PN spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea (WPS) Rear Admiral Roy Vincent Trinidad said in a press briefing.

The group departed from El Nido, Palawan early Tuesday morning aboard the training ship, T/S Kapitan Felix Oca, which measures 114.55 meters and has a width of 16 meters.
