CAMP SIONGCO, Dec. 11 -- Two members of the Islamic State-inspired Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) yielded to military authorities in Pikit, North Cotabato on Monday. Due to security reasons, Maj. Gen. Diosdado Carreon, Army's 6th Infantry Division commander, identified the surrenderers only as a certain Nash and Mhods, both members of the BIFF Karialan faction operating in the peripheries of North Cotabato and Maguindanao provinces. Carreon said the duo's surrender was motivated by the recent surrender of their sub-commander, a certain alias Nao, to the Army's 7th Infantry Battalion in the area.
