Manila, June 20 -- Seventeen asylum seekers temporarily staying at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) benefited from outreach activities prepared by government agencies, the airport regulator announced on Friday.
The activity was led by the Department of Justice (DOJ) in observance of the National Refugee Day, according to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).
MIAA's Medical Division provided health service, including physical examinations, electrocardiogram screenings, and blood sugar tests to asylum seekers from Burundi and Pakistan on June 17.
