Manila, April 9 -- A total of 16 health facilities consisting of 13 district health centers and three private medical hubs in Baguio have been accredited as "Konsulta" providers by the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth).

Janet Pelaez, chief social insurance officer of PhilHealth-Baguio, said the facilities have complied with the mandatory requirements for accreditation as a "Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama" (Konsulta) program provider.

Konsulta aims to provide primary care benefits for its members including consultation and case management, medicines, laboratory, assisting eligible beneficiaries in assessing services in partner facilities, and referral to specialty or higher level of care.
