Manila, Nov. 11 -- Over 100 overseas Filipino workers (OFW) in Singapore recently received support from the Department of Agriculture (DA) in venturing into agriculture entrepreneurship.
In a statement Tuesday, the DA said at least 110 OFWs and Filipino community leaders were introduced to profitable opportunities in both livestock and poultry industries during the "Usapang Agribiz: Forum on Agribusiness Opportunities in Philippine Livestock and Poultry."
During the forum, held at the AIA Alexandra on Sunday (Nov. 9, 2025), the DA discussed current government support mechanisms as well as practical tools, success models and government programs designed to turn the OFWs' savings into sustainable agribusiness ventures.
