Manila, May 1 -- Ten members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) assigned in the Southern Metro Manila District Field Unit were put under restrictive custody and detained at the Philippine Custodial Facility for alleged kidnapping and robbery extortion as ordered by Director Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III.
"Last Monday, April 28, upon receipt ng report ng (of the report of) Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG), immediately, Gen. Torre put under restrictive custody 10 CIDG personnel and ordered them to be detained," PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo told reporters in a press briefing held at Camp Crame on Thursday.
