Manila, Sept. 17 -- A total of 1,500 seedlings of various species were planted during a simultaneous tree planting activity in Barangay Puting Bato, Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte, on Wednesday.

The event, held in time for the celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, was led by the Civil Service Commission in the Caraga Region (CSC-13). It was joined by 600 government workers from various line agencies.

"Our servant heroes proved once more that we are not just government workers -that we help build this nation," the CSC-13 said in a statement.

It said that through unity, government workers can nurture not only trees but also a greener, stronger future for communities.
