MANILA, Feb. 2 -- One person was reported dead from bad weather due to the trough of a low-pressure area affecting the Davao Region, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Friday.

In its latest situation report, the agency said the reported fatality along with one missing and six injured in Davao de Oro province are still undergoing validation.

Some 4,840 families or 19,097 persons in 65 villages in Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental and Davao City have so far been affected.

Of the affected families, 3,014 families or 12,303 individuals are being aided in 56 evacuation centers now active, while around nine families or 33 persons are being aided outside.
