Manila, Jan. 11 -- This capital town is extending relief assistance to the municipality of Libertad, which was hit by Typhoon "Ursula" (Phanfone) last Christmas.

Mayor Elmer Untaran said in an interview Friday the municipal government launched the "Help from the Heart" right after the typhoon struck Libertad last December 25.

They are set to turn over their assistance to Libertad's local government unit on Saturday.

"The personnel of the Office of the SJdB Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) are now in the process of packing up the relief goods for Libertad," he said.

The mayor added the assorted goods donated by municipal employees and business establishments would be of help to the people of Libertad.
