MANILA, Nov. 27 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) has warned that online scams have been on the increase during this Christmas season. Apparently, the PNP has observed that cybercriminals have become more aggressive this year as holiday spending and parcel traffic increases. There has been a marked uptake of online shopping scams and fake delivery schemes.
The reports have become so alarming that the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) and Scam Watch Pilipinas have been warning about the "12 Scams of Christmas".
