CITY OF MALOLOS, Oct. 26 -- At least 21 barangays in the towns of Hagonoy and Calumpit, this province on Monday have been submerged in floodwaters due to rains brought by Typhoon Quinta and aggravated by the high tide from the Manila Bay.

Nine villages in Hagonoy, namely Palapat, San Agustin, San Isidro, San Juan, San Miguel, San Pedro, Sta. Monica, Sto. Nino and Tampok were flooded under one to two feet while barangays Sapang Bayan, San Jose, Pandukot, Sta. Lucia, Bulusan, Calizon, Gugo, Iba Oeste, Caniogan, Frances, Meysulao, and San Miguel, all in Calumpit are under one to five feet water, according to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office.
