MANILA, Nov. 21 -- President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday ordered the immediate arrest of former Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Zaldy Co and 17 other individuals involved in the controversial flood control projects, emphasizing that no one will receive special treatment.
In a video message, Marcos said the Ombudsman has formally filed charges against Co and 17 officials from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Sunwest Corp. linked to the flood control scandal.
Marcos said the cases were filed based on evidence from the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) and the DPWH.
