Manila, July 26 -- he "Love Bus", a government-run public utility bus (PUB) service, is on route to return to the country's streets, with the program to roll out as free rides in Davao and Cebu.
In his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said the bus service will later be expanded to Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao.
"Hindi lang natin ibabalik ang Love Bus, ito ay gagawin pa nating libre (We'll not only bring the Love Bus back, we'll also make it free)," Marcos said.
The new Love Bus service was first tested by workers in March this year.
The new buses are electric and bear the familiar and retro Love Bus markings.
