Manila, June 12 -- The two-day Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) has made available cheaper rice to consumers in Antique since Wednesday.

The Kamapat Agriculture Cooperative, consolidators of locally produced agricultural products, especially rice, and among the exhibitors, offers rice at PHP950 for a bag of 25 kilos, lower than those in commercial markets sold at PHP1,000 to PHP1,200 per bag.

"The Kamapat Agriculture Cooperative, during the first day of the KNP, sold 93 bags of locally produced rice," Office of the Provincial Agriculturist Agri-Business and Marketing coordinator Betty Baldevia said in an interview on Thursday.
