Manila, Aug. 8 -- Most areas will continue to experience rain showers Friday due to the prevailing southwest monsoon (habagat), the weather bureau said.

In its 4 a.m. weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the Visayas, Bicol Region, Mimaropa, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, Quezon, and Palawan will experience scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Moderate to heavy rains in those areas could result in flash floods or landslides.

Isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila, the rest of Calabarzon, and Mindanao.

The rest of Luzon will also get isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
