Manila, June 27 -- The southwest monsoon (habagat) will bring rains over most parts of the country on Friday, the weather bureau said.

It will cause scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, the Visayas, Mimaropa, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, and Batangas.

Those areas may experience moderate to heavy rains that could result in flash floods or landslides, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

"Habagat" will also cause isolated rain showers or thunderstorms across Mindanao.

Same condition will prevail over the rest of Luzon due to localized thunderstorms.
