Manila, July 28 -- Rains that may result in flooding and landslides will continue to prevail over most parts of Luzon and Western Visayas due to the southwest monsoon, a weather forecaster said on Wednesday.

"Monsoon rains, or light to heavy rains, will be experienced over (the) Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Apayao, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro," said Benison Estareja of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Flooding or landslides are likely, he added.

The same weather condition is expected over Metro Manila, the rest of Cagayan Valley, the rest of the Cordillera region, the rest of Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, northe...
