Manila, June 24 -- Several parts of the country will continue to experience rain showers caused by a low pressure area (LPA) and the southwest monsoon or "habagat" on Tuesday, the weather bureau said.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA was located 210 kilometers west southwest of Cubi Point, Subic Bay International Airport, or 290 km. west of Ambulong, Tanauan City, Batangas as of 3 a.m.

It has a medium chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within 24 hours.
