Manila, June 3 -- The southwest monsoon (habagat) will continue to cause rains across Luzon, while parts of Mindanao will also experience rains due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), the weather bureau said Tuesday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by "habagat" will prevail over Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, and Pampanga.

The same weather condition caused by the ITCZ is forecast over Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, Sarangani, Davao Occidental, and Davao Oriental.

Floods and landslides are possible in those areas due to moderate to heavy rains.
