Manila, Oct. 23 -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Thursday reiterated that it has no "ghost projects" worth PHP15 billion contrary to the claims of Cavite 4th District Rep. Francisco Barzaga Jr.
"The claim circulating online and echoed by Representative Kiko Barzaga appears to have been based on false or misleading information that has been proliferating on social media," the AFP said in a statement.
It clarified that under the "Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad" (TIKAS) program, all project funds are released directly to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and not to the AFP.
