Manila, July 24 -- Tropical cyclone Emong (international name Co-May) has intensified into a typhoon, packing maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph, the weather bureau said on Thursday.
Emong was located 175 km west of Dagupan City, Pangasinan as of 1 p.m. and is almost stationary.
Storm-force winds will prevail in areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 3: the northern portion of Pangasinan (Anda, Bolinao, Bani), the western portion of La Union (Luna, Balaoan, Bacnotan, San Juan, City of San Fernando, Bauang, Caba, Bangar), and the western portion of Ilocos Sur (San Esteban, Santiago, City of Candon, Santa Lucia, Santa Cruz, Tagudin, Santo Domingo, Cabugao, Sinait, Magsingal, San ...
